There is a legal battle shaping up over the assault on "Fire This Time" newspaper and our civil liberties of freedom of speech and assembly. An event is planned on Oct. 12th, 7:30 PM at 800 East Broadway, Mount Pleasant Neigourhood House to raise funds for a legal and campaign defense. Food, entertainment, raffle, door prize, poetry readings and hip hop will be on the agenda for the night. Pre venue tix will be $25.00 and $30.00 at the door for tix. Here is a link for info. More…

On the evening of the June 22nd, 2012, VPD arrested five peaceful demonstrators on largely bogus charges and then proceeded to torture their prisoners. We demand that all police officers involved account for their action and show cause as to why they should not be terminated! The story is posted at the following link.…
